SvartifossSvartifoss is a waterfall surrounded by black basalt hexagonal columns that are like the pipes of a giant organ, hence the name Svartifoss (Blackfalls). This is one the most unique attractions in Iceland which is located near Vatnajokull (Europe’s largest glacier). It’s a mile hike and on the way you can also see three other waterfalls.

SeljalandsfossSeljalandsfoss (Seljalandswaterfall) is close to the ring road so a perfect stop while driving the South Coast of Iceland. The waterfall has its origins from underneath the glacier Eyjafjallajokull, which is a volcano that erupted in 2010 (you might have noticed). Floodlights have been situated on both sides of the waterfall to illuminate the water at night.
